Enesco Review

Enesco is an American giftware company that manufactures a wide range of products. The company is also known for its Precious Moments figurines. Its catalog has more than 7,000 items to choose from. However, the figurines are sold to retailers, not to consumers. They come in a clear blister pack, which does not offer adequate protection from damage.

Enesco started out as a small import division of N. Shure Company, a wholesale merchandising catalog company. In 1983, it was purchased by Stanhome Inc. (owner of Stanley Home Products), which reorganized the company as Enesco Group, Inc. A few years later, the company was sold to a group of five and dime retail outlets, including Butler Brothers. Freedman, who had studied at Northwestern University and California Institute of Technology, was Enesco’s first CEO and president.

Enesco had a major impact on the industry through its Precious Moments figurines. In fact, the collection has become one of the world’s most successful collectible lines. When the figurines were introduced in 1979, sales of the line were overwhelming. Although it is a relatively small company, Enesco was able to capitalize on its success by acquiring several different product lines.

Today, Enesco manufactures and markets porcelain bisque figurines under the PMI brand. The company also imports stuffed bears, mugs, and calendars. There are also several other popular lines that are manufactured by the company. One of them is Cherished Teddies.

The Cherished Teddies Club is an exclusive club that offers members a variety of high quality bears and bear-related merchandise. This includes resin figurines and bear-filled bbs. Among the other products sold by the club are Bearographies, a collection of figurines based on a series of books by the same name. Boyds Bears are also a product of the Cherished Teddies Club. These figurines are fully dressed bears, and some of them are even available in a Victorian village collectibles theme.

Before becoming the chief executive officer of Enesco in 1994, Freedman served as its executive vice-president. He founded the company in 1958. During the 1960s, Freedman established two large shows for the company every year. While these shows were invitation only, they became an industry tradition. Each year, the company would showcase its new product lines to buyers at these shows.

Enesco grew dramatically during the 1990s. By the time the company was acquired by Stanhome, its sales had soared. The company opened a new headquarters in Norwich, Vermont, with a showroom that spanned more than 30,000 square feet. Additionally, Enesco was able to purchase a 455,000 square foot warehouse.

Since then, the company has become a major player in the giftware industry. In addition to carrying Precious Moments figurines, Enesco has also designed numerous other well-known lines. Some of these lines include the Small World of Music Collection, Action Musicals, and Disney collectibles.

Enesco has been known for its Precious Moments line, which was created by original artist Sam Butcher. Samuel Butcher originally drew children as gifts for his family. Later, he began to market his drawings to help support his children.
