Figurines kmart

Figurines kmart are small sculptures in the shape of humans, gods or animals. They may be made of pottery, porcelain, metal or plastic. They may have a religious, ritual or decorative function. In the case of prehistoric figurines of women, some of which appear to be pregnant, there is evidence they were used in fertility ceremonies. They are among the earliest signs of human culture, found in Europe and Asia and dating from about 25-30,000 years ago. Ancient Greek terracotta figurines, and later Roman bronze ones, are well known examples of this type.

Kmart, which is owned by Sears, is trying to make inroads into the lucrative minority market for toys, introducing dozens of different types of ethnic dolls in its stores. It is the first mass-market retailer to do so. The initiative is backed by an advertising campaign featuring comedians such as Big Jay Oakerson and Chuck Nice, and online sensation Anita Renfroe of the Mom Song fame. It will also run in Kmart’s circulars and include video clips on its website. Figures with movable parts are more often called dolls, mannequins or action figures; those without movable parts are called statues or static figurines. In the case of sci-fi and fantasy figurines, they are sometimes referred to as amiibo.
