A very early figurine in the line, this figurine was designed by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936 and called “Little Mothers of the Family” in early literature. All of the older pieces in both sizes are found with a sqaure base, while newer pieces feature a redesign and oval base. The 5 1/2 inch size was temporarily withdrawn from produciton in December 1984.
