Yuri Katsuki is a young professional figure skater who hails from Japan’s Saga prefecture. He started skating at a local skating club when he was young and became passionate about it. He is known as the figure skater with the ‘world’s biggest glass heart’ as he gets discouraged easily when he fails but begins to find more confidence in himself after training with his idol and coach, Victor Nikiforov.
When Yuri loses in the Grand Prix final, he decides to take a break from skating and spend time with his friend. However, when he casually skates with Victor on a public rink and perfectly recreates his legendary performance, it causes him to reconsider his career and return to the competition.
After his return, he competes with the help of Victor and Yuri Plisetsky in the Figure Skating Grand Prix, which Victor will be coaching for. The two begin to grow close as they train together, and Yuri even calls Victor “Dad”! This Nendoroid depicts Yuri in his full skating outfit.
The Nendoroid figure is sculpted in dynamic poses with special attention paid to the wrinkles of his clothes and windblown hair. The Nendoroid features swappable face plates, allowing you to display him in various poses and emotions from the anime.
A Nendoroid of Yuri’s pet poodle Makkachin is also included to capture their playful interaction. The chibi-style Nendoroids are perfect for fans of the popular anime series Yuri!!! on Ice. Preorders for the Nendoroid figures are scheduled to begin on January 9th, 2018 (Tue) at 12:00 PM JST. Each Nendoroid is about 115mm tall.
