NetHack Figurine Guide

figurine nethack

The figurine is one of the many magical tools you can use in NetHack. The figurine is a type of magical tool that can bring various monsters to life. It is a piece of mineral or gem that can be brought to life with the help of magic or a spell. Depending on the whim of the player, the figurine can either turn into a pet or become a cursed entity. If the aforementioned curse is incurred, the figurine is rendered useless.

A figurine is not to be confused with a talisman, though talismans can be applied to a plethora of creatures. Using a talisman is a bit like using a magician’s wand to bring a monster to life. As mentioned, there are a few types of talismans, some of which are better than others. One of the more interesting talismans is the talismans of the wizard of Yendor. When the aforementioned wizard encounters you, he or she will begin to stalk you.

This entails a lot of moving parts, including the body, a pointer and the uwep. Luckily for the player, the uwep does not entail a massive overhead. In fact, it may be easier to make a single use of the uwep than it is to use it on your entire party. Nevertheless, if you are in the market for a good quality talisman, look no further.

There are numerous talismans available, many of which are available in a variety of flavors. You can find one in just about any of the major dungeons, or you can take on a random talisman in a dungeon of your choosing. Some of these talismans are more useful than others, however, and some of them can prove to be costly to obtain. For example, you can get a blessed greased figurine of a foocubus for a mere ten bucks, but getting an archon figurine for a mere ten dollars is a different matter altogether.

Unlike the aforementioned talismans, there are a handful of other tidbits to be found in NetHack. In the context of the figurine, there are two notable things: the number of actions you get per turn, and the name of the magical item that demonstrates the most impressive feat.

As for the name of the item, you should know that you can’t take it back to the store or to your friends. You can’t snaffle it with a sword. That’s not to say that it’s not worth trying, just that the sexiest attempt will be futile. However, you might be able to convince the wizard of Yendor that you are more than just a pawn in his evil plans. Thankfully, your opponents might be just as petty as you are.
